Filming...

The other day we started to film and we knew exactly what we wanted to do and how to do it accept obviously things went wrong such as we cut out the dolly shots as the floor was bumpy and the wheely chair we used was not smooth enough to get a good piece of footage. Also we decided that instead of filming all the little shots of the same thing that we would just keep shooting the shot all the way through then do the same scene from another angle then edit it which saved time and made it easier for us. We still kept most of our origional shot ideas like close ups on the eyes and hands and the over the shoulder shots.

Location Scouting...

Today we found a location for our filming.
In the interview room. It's small and enclosed with a nice round table which is the main prop for our short film.
we have booked it for the rest of today and from 1-4 tomorrow which should give us plenty of time to get the footage we need.
We have all the props we need and the actors we need and we have started to write up a basic script for them to follow, and our storyboard is basic but understandable and are currently adding in shot types for each part of the storyboard so we are fully prepared to start filming.

The Beginning...

Today, we drew up our first storyboard. We have come up with the idea of 3 people sitting around a table playing snap and a man coming through the door to join them. Obviously this is only the basic idea but we have alot of ideas for short quick shots and close ups and long shots and make it more complex.

Also we have found a place to film in; in pod 1, and we have actors ready to play parts.
