Mills

• judgemental and quick in doing so as mills says 'you've only just met me' when he makes assumptions.
• slightly nieve maybe as he may not know what hes let himself in for
• a detective, as at the crime scene
• abit scruffy, doesnt have his top botton done up, a casual shirt..
• very cocky, runs up the stairs, very sure of himself as he is so confident but also shows how he is keen.
• he is late so obviously isnt bothered bout what people think as wasnt trying to make a good impression much..
• a ladies man as stares as a woman, kind of looks her up and down as she walks past

Sommerset

• cares about little details like if the kid saw, when no one else really cares
• he seems very intelligent and patient as has a chess set in his room
• has a routine, very organised possibly a bit obsessive as meticulous about detail, as he has everything laid out like his suit, pen and things on the side, and even takes off a slight bit of fluff from his jacket.
• intelluctual as reads hard back books
• alone, maybe disconnected from people, as has so much time to be organised.

Setting

• red lights and red writing-symbolises love, passion or blood
• it was rainging
• sinister music, to create a mood ready for the horrific actions
• Urban set- typical traditional setting, as have police forces and people packed areas.
• very dark low key lights

Whats really good about the seven opening is that, it gives so much about the characters away in such minute detail. For our filming we need to characterise the people down to percific details. The way red is used also does give the whole sense of the seven sins, and the evil surrounding the thriller.
