Iconography = visual icons which represent that type of Genre in this case thriller. For example..
  • guns
  • blood
  • police
  • knives
  • dark creepy setting
  • urban setting
  • villain and victim

The sound notes in 'Momento'
  • loud traffic drones
  • smashing- jumpy
  • long droney background music
  • quiet then loud then quiet at percific and appropriate suspense moments
  • gun shots when no other sound to emphasise
  • fast car sound -quick paced
  • camera click a few times repeatedly

The sound notes in 'Usual Suspects'

  • clicking and ticking
  • voice overs
  • slapping and banging
  • fire/flames
  • boombs
  • low chimes
  • smashes
  • explosion

The Sounds notes in 'Dial M for Murder'

  • big backing music sounds
  • chimes and boombs
  • radio voices reportng
  • screams
  • door squeak
  • phone ringing
  • increase of volume and speed as increase in action
  • but dancy type music, which is not typical

The Sound notes in 'Tell No One'

  • happy background music unusual
  • water and laughing
  • then a bangind
  • scream
  • music changes to screeching sharper music
  • click of the pc mouse
  • car screeching breaks
  • can horn
  • gun shot
  • credits with a no signal, static sound from tele/radio
  • fire sounds
  • beep for email emphasis

Commonly used are traffic sounds, screeching music, and screams plus gun shot noises. May try to include some of these thriller sounds in our filming.
